WHO ARE THESE EVENTS FOR?
Authentic Intimacy's events are for churches, leaders, women's groups, communities, and ministries that want to learn God's truth about sexuality. The Authentic Intimacy team will work with you to build an event that fits your church's needs and demographics.
Whether you are married or single, 18 or 80, having great sex or no sex, your sexuality is inseparable from your spirituality. Our desire is for every Christian to understand the bigger picture of God's heart for sexuality and to create a safe place to ask difficult questions about sexual issues.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
In every Christian community, men and women carry secret questions and struggles about sexuality. The virtual silence on the subject of sex reinforces the belief that God doesn’t care about critical issues like sexual abuse, pornography, sexual problems in marriage, and sexual identity. Sexual issues are also spiritual issues, challenging our faith in God's love and trustworthiness. We want to equip the Church to reclaim God's design for sexuality. Rethinking Sexuality Conference
This event comes from Dr. Juli Slattery’s book Rethinking Sexuality with a focus on equipping Christians to talk about sexuality in a way that honors God. Juli provides a framework from which to understand the big picture of sexual challenges and wholeness, shifting the paradigm from combating sexual problems to confidently proclaiming and modeling the road to sacred sexuality. Date Night/God, Sex, & Your Marriage
God designed marriage for intimacy within covenant love. Unfortunately, most couples are too burdened by conflict, past wounds, and fear to experience this depth of love. During this event, couples will learn from Dr. Juli Slattery about why God cares about sex in your marriage, ways to build a deeper intimacy, and how to work together to overcome common obstacles. Authentic Intimacy Conference
This event is an in-depth introduction to the material of the Authentic Intimacy ministry, including biblical sexuality and identity in Christ Jesus. Dr. Juli Slattery will share about why God cares about sexuality, what it means to walk with sexual integrity, and how to restore intimacy with God. Full-Day
Surprised By the Healer Conference
This event gives the audience hope and practical steps for pursuing God’s healing for relational and sexual brokenness from content in our book Surprised By the Healer. Special guests from the book, including Linda Dillow, are often integrated into the teaching. Full-Day
Ladies
Night Out
During this Ladies Night Out event, Dr. Juli Slattery addresses the topic of sexuality through the lens of the spiritual importance of sexuality, understanding cultural changes in sexual ethics, and a personal response to sexual questions and challenges. Half-Day
