Jessica and Juli, thank you so much for this Java time. I, too, have struggled with porn in the past (11 years sober from viewing porn). You touched on so many great things. I first viewed porn by accident at age 11. It was not until my early 30's just as the Internet came into homes that I discovered masturbation and porn. As a good Christian girl/woman, I was so ashamed and was certain I was the only Christian woman that did this. That was in the 1990's and early 2000's. The only resource I found at that time for women was No Stones by Marnie Ferree. It was life-saving. I am currently pursuing writing about my own story and plan to publish because there needs to be many more resources specifically for women and for the Church to know how to help and not judge or shame those who struggle. We are only as sick as our secrets, so telling my story destroyed the shame! Now I want others to know they are not alone and that their shame was removed along with sin by Jesus suffering and dying on the cross. Satan keeps putting in front of all of us the temptations and the self-doubting that we matter. Juli - thanks for your book and study on Redefining Sexuality. I continue to nudge my church to get on board. And Jessica, your book is much needed as are many other women's stories.

As God has taught me in various ways, it's not about me. Oswald Chambers devotional - My Utmost For His Highest, May 15 entry, very clearly convinced me to "Rise to the occasion - do what the trial demands of you. It does not matter how much it hurts as long as it gives God the opportunity to manifest the life of Jesus in your body." That said to me that His story in my life is more important than my story. Plus my testimony chases "the Accuser" out of God's presence (Rev. 12:10-11).
