Rethinking Sexuality Small Group Curriculum

This curriculum is a great way to introduce your community to the principles of Sexual Discipleship. For example, if you are a church or other form of ministry, you might offer this as a 7-week virtual or in-person class to open up discussion about biblical sexuality.

Going through this study helps participants have healthy discussion around biblical sexuality while offering practical ways to apply God’s truth to real-life sexual issues. Each week includes:

  • A short lesson written by Dr. Juli Slattery related to one of the seven Rethinking Sexuality paradigm shifts
  • A 15-20 minute video of Dr. Juli Slattery teaching about one of the seven Rethinking Sexuality paradigm shifts
  • Related Bible passage(s) to study
  • Discussion guide questions
  • Follow-up resources

If you have an individual SD membership, you may share the Rethinking Sexuality curriculum with your own small group. If you would like to use the Rethinking Sexuality curriculum church-wide or with other small groups, you will need to purchase the curriculum in our shop or have an organizational SD membership.

God, Sex, and Your Marriage Small Group Curriculum

Many Christian books talk about sexual issues within broader works on marriage, but few resources comprehensively and biblically guide couples specifically on sexual intimacy. God, Sex, and Your Marriage challenges the common assumptions couples have about sexuality and presents the richer biblical narrative of sex as a metaphor of God’s covenant love. Dr. Juli Slattery applies that biblical framework to the practical challenges in sexual intimacy. Godly sexuality extends far beyond sexual purity and calls us to sexual integrity. God invites every couple to view their sexual relationship, including their greatest struggles, as an avenue to learn about the nature of His covenant love.

God, Sex, and Your Marriage Video Lesson #1

Session 1: What Does a Healthy Sex Life Look Like?

This session will focus on helping you identify how you’ve learned to think about sex. You will learn about how both the culture and simplistic religious teaching may have informed your view of sex in marriage and discover with your spouse how your sexual narrative has set either a healthy or unhealthy perspective of your sexual relationship.

Passion Pursuit Small Group Curriculum

The Passion Pursuit Small Group Curriculum is a 10-week study that points to God’s Word to speak about sex being holy and erotic. Using Song of Solomon and Scripture throughout the Bible, participants discover answers to questions on topics as diverse as: what’s okay—and not okay—in the bedroom, temptation, forgiveness, a wife’s power, and how and why to pursue passion.

Authentic Intimacy offers Passion Pursuit Small Group Video Curriculum (available for purchase through our online shop) to help leaders confidently lead a small group. In addition to the videos, there is a Leader’s Guide that provides answers to all kinds of questions, tips, and suggestions to make facilitating this study easy.
