God, Sex and Your Marriage for Women Facilitator – Erin
Get to Know Erin
I first read Rethinking Sexuality in July 2018 in a bookstore. I finished the book in about 3 hours
and have served in sexual discipleship ministry with Authentic Intimacy and at my church ever
since. I have had a passion for biblical discipleship and biblical sexuality, wanting to live out
what the bible has to say and commands of me in my life as a child of God, wife, and mother. I
have attended and been a member of Grace Covenant Church in Austin, Tx for 24 years. At
Grace I have been discipled by my “Christian Mom”, baptized, met my husband in the singles
ministry, gotten married, and now have 2 teenage son’s attending and leading in youth ministry.
With Authentic Intimacy ministry I attended the Sexual Discipleship Leadership Summit in
3/2020, lead 2 book study groups in June and Nov/2020 through the book Rethinking Sexuality,
lead 1 book study group in 4/2021 through Calm My Anxious Heart, attended a book study
group in 10/2021 with my husband going through God, Sex and Your Marriage, and finally lead
1 book study group in 5/2022 through Mama Bear. After taking a break from leading book
studies with Authentic Intimacy, I spent time serving at my church and in Community Bible
Study. Authentic Intimacy and Sexual Discipleship have and continue to be foundational
ministries in my story of living as Christ in all of life and learning what the bible commands of our
sexual integrity.
What others are saying about God, Sex and Your Marriage:
The group created a place for connecting with others who are learning to think the same way about God’s design for sex within marriage. We loved seeing how much our journey is like the journey of others.
The best part of this group was connecting with other married women who are navigating the same issues. It’s good to know that we are not alone in our struggles. We also appreciated the accountability to read and engage with the material.
I loved the community of people in the group. We aren’t alone. I wish we could keep meeting. It was nice to have like minded people give wisdom and insight. The group became a place where couples could have honest and transparent conversations about marriage and sexuality every single week!
