October 4th and 5th - The Chapel in Green - Uniontown, OH
The Christian church has lost God’s design for sexuality.
Both our cultural and personal stories demonstrate sexual pain, confusion and brokenness. Today is a day to reclaim the truth of God as the people of God. Our aim is not to win an argument about sexual morality, but to capture the lost territory of human hearts.
Every Christian needs to be grounded in understanding God’s design for sexuality. At this conference, you will be challenged to rethink both the cultural and traditional religious narratives of sexuality in light of God’s holy Word. You will hear teaching and powerful testimonies that prompt you, whether single or married, to consider your own commitment to sexual integrity. You will be equipped to walk with hurting friends in both the grace and truth of Jesus.
Together… we will reclaim.
Authentic Intimacy helps you make sense of your sexuality. Through teaching & discipleship, Dr. Juli Slattery helps believers understand and apply God's design for sexuality.
Java with Juli podcast
Juli sits down with her life-long friend Taylor Scott (of The Kevin & Taylor Show!) to talk about the sorrow, the truth, and the things to say and not say along the journey of infertility. (And you'll get to hear stories about Juli too!)
Guest: Taylor Scott
Topics around sexuality are filled with unspoken tension: A wife who suspects her husband is looking at porn. A woman who had an abortion many years ago that’s she’s kept secret. A good friend or relative who decided to go through a gender change and wants you to use his/her/their new name.
I believe it is imperative, both within the Christian church and outside her walls, to be able to engage in tough conversations about sexual pain and brokenness. We don’t run around looking for those conversations, but we also should not run away from them.
Many Christians believe that their sexual choices and beliefs are a separate category from their spiritual pursuits. We simply assume that God doesn’t speak into our sexuality – that He allows us to make those choices for ourselves.
This is a destructive lie. In fact, sexuality and spirituality were designed to be inseparable. Our sexual beliefs and behaviors are a reflection of what we truly believe about God. Every sexual question is ultimately a spiritual question.
Engaging in sexual conversations is a necessary part of the Great Commission (making disciples). People need help understanding their sexuality within the context of God’s character and biblical teaching.
